Araghchi Says US Hostile Policies Have Failed, Urges Washington to Change Approach

Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Iran’s Foreign Minister, stated that the United States’ “hostile” actions against Iran have not yielded results, and that it is now time for Washington to adopt a different approach based on respect.
On Wednesday, January 21, Araghchi wrote on his official X social media page that Iranian citizens are mourning the loss of their loved ones and rebuilding damages that, according to him, were caused by “terrorists.” At the same time, he warned of another threat which he described as the “final failure of diplomacy.”
The Iranian foreign minister added that any full-scale confrontation with the US, in his view, would be a prolonged process accompanied by chaos and would go beyond what he referred to as an “imaginary timeline”—a framework he said is proposed to the White House by Israel.
