Taliban Trade Delegation Visits Bangladesh to Boost Economic Cooperation

The Taliban’s Ministry of Industry and Trade announced on Sunday, January 17, that Ahmadullah Zahed, Deputy Minister of the ministry, is leading a delegation to Bangladesh. According to the ministry’s statement on X, the purpose of the trip is to expand trade relations, facilitate exports and imports, and explore joint investment opportunities. The Taliban’s newsletter reported that 50 Afghan businessmen are accompanying the Deputy Minister on this visit. The delegation is scheduled to meet with Bangladeshi officials to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral trade cooperation. The Taliban Ministry of Trade emphasized that such trips play an important and effective role in economic growth, trade development, and strengthening Afghanistan’s economy.
