UNICEF Launches Programs to Sustain Education for Vulnerable Children Amid Afghanistan Crisis

UNICEF Afghanistan has announced that, with financial support from donors, it is implementing programs to continue the education of vulnerable children in emergency conditions, ensuring their learning process does not stop during the crisis.
According to the agency’s information, measures such as establishing temporary and safe learning spaces, distributing books and stationery, and training teachers have been undertaken to maintain children’s access to education.
UNICEF emphasizes that continuous access to education, especially in emergency situations, plays a crucial role in supporting children’s mental well-being and protecting their future. These programs are designed based on the urgent educational needs in various areas.
The international organization has previously warned that consecutive crises in Afghanistan pose a serious threat to children’s right to education, and continuing such support is vital to prevent educational deprivation among children.
