Taliban’s Acting Foreign Minister Discusses Expanding Cooperation with Oman’s Foreign Minister in Phone Call

The Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced that Amir Khan Muttaqi, the acting head of the ministry, held a phone conversation with Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Oman’s Foreign Minister, emphasizing the expansion of bilateral relations and cooperation in trade, transit, and transportation between the two sides.
According to a statement from the ministry, the phone call took place on Wednesday, the 17th of Jaddi month, during which both parties discussed ways to strengthen political and economic ties between Kabul and Muscat.
In the conversation, Amir Khan Muttaqi described his recent visit to Oman as “beneficial” and highlighted the importance of exchanging delegations between the two countries to develop cooperation. He also invited the Omani Foreign Minister to visit Kabul.
The statement added that the Omani Foreign Minister said a technical delegation from Oman’s aviation sector will soon travel to Kabul. He expressed hope that during this visit, comprehensive talks will be held to expand bilateral cooperation.
