Israeli Drone Strike Targets Southern Lebanon, Violating Ceasefire Agreement

Local sources in southern Lebanon have reported that Israeli forces carried out a drone attack targeting civilian areas in the village of At-Taybeh and the Hula-Merjaba communication route, an action described as a new violation of the ceasefire in the region.
According to Al-Manar network’s report, a workshop under construction in the Hassan Bek square of At-Taybeh village was directly targeted by the drone strike. This attack follows a series of operations aimed at civilian infrastructure.
Additionally, several Israeli soldiers infiltrated the Hula-Merjaba road at dawn today and detonated a three-story building. As of this report, local sources have not provided details regarding casualties or the extent of material damage.
These incidents come amid warnings from a reporter of Israel’s Channel 14 about the increasing likelihood of intensified clashes with Hezbollah, claiming that the Israeli army is prepared for large-scale attacks in Lebanon.
Nearly a year after the ceasefire was established in southern Lebanon, both the Lebanese government and resistance groups have emphasized their commitment to the agreement. Nonetheless, repeated Israeli attacks on border towns and villages have intensified criticism over ongoing ceasefire violations.
In this context, Hezbollah’s Deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem recently stated that Israel has breached the ceasefire thousands of times; remarks that once again highlight persistent concerns over instability along Lebanon’s southern borders.
