Iran’s Exports to Afghanistan Surge via Dogharoon Border Crossing

Iranian officials have announced that since the beginning of the current Persian calendar year, a total of 714,679 tons of goods have been exported to Afghanistan through the Dogharoon-Islam Qala border port.

According to customs authorities at Dogharoon, the total value of these exports is estimated at approximately 230.355 million US dollars, reflecting the continued flow of trade between the two countries.

The Dogharoon port is located in Iran’s Khorasan Razavi province and is one of the most important transit routes for commercial trade with Afghanistan. On the Afghan side, the Islam Qala port in Herat province plays a key role in supplying imported goods.

Economic experts believe that the ongoing operation of this border crossing is highly significant for local markets, traders, and meeting essential needs on both sides of the border.
