Taliban Deputy Administrative Head Visits Naghlu Hydropower Plant in Kabul

Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi, Deputy Administrative Head of the Taliban Prime Minister’s Office, along with several officials from the administration, visited the Naghlu Hydropower Plant in Kabul province. The plant is considered one of the country’s key sources of electricity generation.
According to the officials at the Naghlu Hydropower Plant, during the visit, information was provided about the plant’s operational processes, work plans, and current status. Existing challenges and needs were also discussed.
During the visit, Mawlawi Abdul Salam Hanafi appreciated the efforts and performance of the Naghlu plant officials and emphasized that protecting public infrastructure and serving the residents of the country is both an Islamic and national responsibility of the officials.
The Naghlu Hydropower Plant is among Afghanistan’s critical energy infrastructures. Effective maintenance and management of the plant play a significant role in ensuring stable electricity supply to various regions of the country—a matter that has consistently attracted the attention of the public and experts alike.
