Taliban Bans Entry of Unregistered Vehicles into Kabul to Improve Traffic Order

The Taliban’s Ministry of Interior has announced a ban on the entry of vehicles without legal documents, vehicles with tinted windows, and those bearing provincial stickers into Kabul, aiming to improve traffic order and control urban movement. Police have been instructed to prevent these vehicles from entering the city.

Abdul Mateen Qani, the ministry’s spokesperson, stated that traffic police stop unregistered vehicles daily upon their entry into Kabul and transfer them to police centers. Vehicle owners can reclaim their vehicles after completing the necessary legal documentation.

According to provided information, since the start of this campaign, traffic police, in cooperation with public security police, have stopped more than 13,000 unregistered vehicles in different areas.

Although the Taliban administration claims this measure is to ensure urban order, the lack of transparency in its implementation and the fate of the seized vehicles has raised questions among Kabul residents. This issue calls for further clarification and accountability from the responsible authorities.
