Sanaa Authorities Announce Readiness for New Confrontation with US and Israel

Officials from the government based in Sanaa have announced that Yemen is preparing for a new round of confrontation with the United States and Israel; a phase that, according to them, will fundamentally differ from previous periods in terms of the level of conflict and military capabilities.

Mohammed Maftah, head of the Sanaa government, speaking in the Amran governorate, referred to the acquisition of new weapons and equipment by this government, stating that future clashes with Israel and its supporters will take on a different form and scope. He claimed that attacks on Yemen’s facilities, interests, and public services were part of efforts by the US and Israel to weaken the country’s structures.

According to Maftah, alongside efforts to rebuild damaged projects and infrastructure, the Sanaa government has increased its military and logistical readiness at all levels, describing this preparedness as distinct from the previous state.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Al-Farrah, a member of the political bureau of the Ansar Allah movement, described US policy as based on pressure and exertion of power, saying that the more countries retreat in the face of threats, the more this approach intensifies. He asserted that Yemen’s experience confronting the US has shown that steadfastness and reliance on internal capabilities can prevent the advance of external pressures.

Al-Farrah also cited recent developments in Latin America and threats against leaders of some countries as examples of this approach, emphasizing that preserving sovereignty and national independence, in his view, requires a firm stance against the pressures of major powers.
