Israeli Airstrikes Target Areas in Southern Lebanon Amid Rising Tensions

Local sources in Lebanon have reported that Israeli fighter jets and drones have conducted airstrikes on several areas between Al-Sarfand and Al-Saksakiyeh around the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon. According to these sources, the intensity and frequency of the attacks have caused serious concern among local residents.
Reports indicate that extensive military flights and targeted strikes have created an atmosphere of fear and disruption in daily life for the affected communities. So far, no detailed information has been released regarding possible damages or casualties.
Meanwhile, the Israeli army radio has announced that a second wave of airstrikes has been carried out on Lebanon, targeting areas reportedly under the control of Hezbollah and Hamas, according to the broadcaster. These claims have not yet been independently verified.
Official Lebanese institutions have warned that the continuation of such attacks could seriously threaten the stability and security of the country’s southern borders. These bodies believe that the ongoing violations of the November 2024 ceasefire by Israel increase the risk of escalating tensions and demonstrate that the agreement remains fragile.
