Saudi Airstrikes Target UAE-Backed Forces in Eastern Yemen’s Al-Mahrah Province

Local sources reported that Saudi Arabian fighter jets have conducted a new round of airstrikes on positions held by forces affiliated with the Southern Transitional Council in Yemen’s eastern Al-Mahrah province. According to these sources, the air raids specifically targeted the command headquarters of the “Al-Ghaydah Axis” in the center of Al-Mahrah province. This operation came after elements linked to the UAE opposed the evacuation of this headquarters. Following the attacks, a safe passage was established to facilitate the withdrawal of these forces from Al-Mahrah province, enabling their transfer to the city of Aden. A few days earlier, Saudi warplanes had also bombed arms shipments sent from the UAE to Yemen, which informed sources indicated were intended for the Southern Transitional Council forces.
