China and Pakistan Stress Continued Trilateral Talks on Afghanistan

China and Pakistan have expressed their readiness to continue the use of the trilateral dialogue mechanism involving their foreign ministers and Afghanistan, as well as the China-Bangladesh-Pakistan cooperation framework, aiming to achieve new outcomes.

In a joint statement, the two countries agreed to maintain close contact and coordination on Afghanistan. They seek to encourage, alongside the international community, the Taliban administration to establish an inclusive political framework, adopt moderate policies, strengthen good-neighborly relations, and play a constructive role in Afghanistan’s stability and development.

China and Pakistan also emphasized the necessity of preventing terrorist groups from using Afghan territory to target other countries, an issue that has become a key regional and global concern in recent years.

This position comes as the Taliban administration has repeatedly claimed it will not allow threats to other countries to arise from Afghan soil; however, ongoing regional concerns indicate that the international community continues to demand practical actions, greater transparency, and accountability in this regard.
