UNICEF Distributes Winter Aid to Earthquake-Stricken Children in Kunar

As nighttime temperatures drop below freezing in Kunar province, the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) has announced ongoing winter assistance for families who lost their homes in recent earthquakes.

UNICEF Afghanistan stated that many of these families are forced to endure the severe cold at night, a situation that puts children at greater risk than others.

According to the information provided, last week the organization distributed 1,775 winter clothing packages and 3,550 blankets in the affected areas to protect children from the cold.

Relief agencies have repeatedly warned that continuing cold weather and lack of adequate shelter could worsen the humanitarian situation in the earthquake-hit regions, emphasizing the urgent and ongoing need for support.
