Construction of New Bridge in Darqad, Takhar Begins with 238 Million Afghanis Budget

According to local sources, the construction of a large bridge over the river in Darqad district of Takhar province has begun, with a reported cost of 238 million Afghanis. The bridge is being built in the Qoqani area and will measure 243 meters in length and 7 meters in width.
Local officials have stated that upon completion, this project will significantly ease travel between the center of Takhar province and the districts of Darqad, Ying Qala, and Khwaja Bahawuddin. Residents of these districts have previously complained about the difficulty of commuting, especially during the rainy seasons.
At the same time, the Badakhshan provincial authorities under Taliban administration have announced the start of 17 other development projects worth over 223 million Afghanis. These projects are being implemented in Faizabad city, the capital of Badakhshan.
According to the provided information, these projects include bridge repairs, construction of retaining walls, road and sidewalk creation and improvement, building pedestrian overpasses, traffic regulation, and city beautification efforts. However, citizens expect the implementation process to be transparent and for the real needs of various areas to be considered fairly.
