Iranian Labor Ministry Delegation Arrives in Kabul for Official Talks

A delegation from Iran’s Ministry of Labor, led by Seyed Malek Hosseini, has arrived in Kabul to commence official discussions, according to the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs under the Taliban administration. The delegation from Iran’s Ministry of Labor, Cooperation, and Social Welfare is set to engage with Abdul Manan Omari, acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs in the Taliban government. The talks will focus on expanding bilateral labor relations, exchanging workforce, and developing technical and vocational training programs. A significant part of the discussions will address the situation and protection of the rights of Afghan workers residing in Iran—an issue that has long been a concern for the families of migrant workers and advocates for migrant rights. It is expected that the outcomes of these meetings will be transparently communicated, and practical mechanisms to safeguard the rights of Afghan workers, especially in hazardous and low-income job sectors, will be seriously pursued.
