Israeli Economic Newspaper Reports Rising Insecurity in Occupied Territories Under Netanyahu Cabinet

An Israeli economic newspaper has criticized Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet, reporting that insecurity in the occupied territories has reached a concerning level in 2025, directly impacting the lives of civilians.

According to the report, the newspaper “Calcalist” stated that negligence and lack of effective management by the cabinet have led to the highest road traffic fatalities in two decades. In 2025 alone, hundreds of Israeli settlers have died in traffic incidents; a statistic described by the newspaper as unprecedented.

Another part of the report highlights a significant increase in violent crimes. Calcalist noted that the number of murders in 2024 and 2025 has reached a level unseen in the past ten years, indicating an intensifying internal security crisis.

The newspaper attributes this situation to the simultaneous inefficiency of Netanyahu’s cabinet amidst several internal crises, including the challenge of recruiting soldiers from the Haredi Jewish community, rising public debt, and increased living costs. The report’s authors believe that instead of accepting responsibility, the Israeli cabinet is attempting to evade accountability for the consequences of these policies.
