US Destroyer Departs Eilat Port After Planned Visit

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM) has announced that a US Navy destroyer has left the port of Eilat in the southern occupied territories after a brief stay. According to the command, the destroyer had docked at the port only two days prior.
According to information released by Al Jazeera, the destroyer “Dilbert Black” departed Eilat following what CENTCOM described as a “planned visit.” Eilat is located on the coast of the Gulf of Aqaba and is considered one of the key ports in the southern occupied territories.
CENTCOM stated in a press release that this visit symbolizes naval cooperation between the United States and Israel and reflects the shared commitment of both parties to enhancing security and stability in the Mediterranean Sea, the Gulf of Aqaba, and the Red Sea regions.
In this context, The Wall Street Journal, citing US officials, reported that the likelihood of imminent air strikes against Iran is assessed to be low. According to these sources, concerns about potential Iranian retaliation in the occupied territories and escalating the situation into a prolonged conflict are among the reasons for this assessment.
