FAO Highlights Agricultural System Transformation at LLDC3 Summit

The Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has announced that the transformation of agricultural and food systems was a central topic at the third Landlocked Developing Countries (LLDC3) Summit.
According to the report, strengthening agricultural supply chains, expanding climate-smart agriculture, and developing inclusive policies to support smallholder farmers were key points of discussion during the summit.
FAO emphasized that small island developing states, least developed countries, and landlocked developing countries face common challenges in agriculture and food security and require coordinated regional and global cooperation.
The international agency also stressed the importance of inclusive policies, stating that without considering the needs of small-scale farmers and vulnerable communities, achieving sustainable food systems will not be possible, and no group should be excluded from the development process.
