103 Tons of Substandard Profiles Returned from Farahi Port for Failing Domestic Standards

The Standards and Quality Department announced that a shipment of “C-channel” profiles weighing a total of 103 tons was returned to the exporting country from Sheikh Abu Nasr Farahi Port due to non-compliance with domestic standards, after quality assessment and inspection.
Officials from the department stated that the process of reviewing and matching standards is carried out with precision and decisiveness to prevent the entry of low-quality goods into the domestic markets; a matter directly linked to the health, safety, and trust of residents in the local market.
The Standards and Quality Department emphasized its commitments by stating that the enforcement of domestic standards is being seriously pursued in all ports and customs areas across the country, and legal action will be taken against any violations.
However, economic experts stress that greater transparency in inspection processes, regular communication, and accountability of responsible agencies can reinforce public trust and sustainably prevent the supply of substandard goods—expectations that remain for departments operating under the Taliban administration.
