Balkh Governor Holds Talks with Kazakhstan Ambassador on Expanding Bilateral Cooperation

The Balkh provincial government announced that Mohammad Yousuf Wafa, the governor of Balkh, held a meeting with Gaziz Akbasov, Kazakhstan’s ambassador to Afghanistan, during which both parties discussed ways to expand bilateral cooperation.

According to the provincial authority, the meeting focused on trade, economic, and humanitarian cooperation between Afghanistan and Kazakhstan, with an emphasis on continuing interactions in these areas.

The Balkh governor stated at the meeting that Afghanistan, after decades of war, has entered a new phase of reconstruction and economic growth, and the Taliban administration is striving to develop its relations with regional and international countries based on mutual respect.

Meanwhile, the Kazakhstan ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to support Afghanistan by not only constructing a 200-bed hospital but also establishing quality schools.

Akbasov added that implementing these projects could help reduce health problems for Afghan residents and improve education levels, opening a new chapter in humanitarian cooperation between the two nations.
