WFP Continues Food Aid Deliveries in Takhar Despite Harsh Weather

The World Food Programme (WFP) has announced that humanitarian aid deliveries in Afghanistan continue despite rainfall, hail, and snow, with priority given to vulnerable families.
According to the organization, in Takhar province, life-saving assistance is being distributed to more than 34,500 residents. These efforts aim to reduce household vulnerability during the winter season.
The WFP stated that each family receives essential food supplies, and nutritious food is provided for children under five years old to prevent malnutrition and safeguard their health.
Afghanistan has faced harsh winters and increasing humanitarian needs in recent years, with aid organizations emphasizing that continuous access to food assistance plays a crucial role in the survival of vulnerable families.
