Taliban Officials and Iranian Ambassador Discuss Afghan Workers’ Legal Transfer and Labor Cooperation

In a meeting held in Kabul, Abdul Manan Omari, the Taliban’s Minister of Labor and Social Affairs, met with Ali Reza Beikdel, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, to discuss the legal transfer of Afghan workers to Iran and the expansion of labor cooperation. According to sources, the meeting emphasized the exchange of skilled workers, the development of technical and vocational training, and attention to the human and labor rights of Afghan workers—an issue of vital importance for thousands of Afghan residents linked to employment abroad. Furthermore, both sides discussed ensuring fair wages, providing safe working conditions, and establishing a joint commission to resolve labor disputes, aiming for a systematic review of any potential problems faced by workers. The Iranian ambassador expressed his country’s readiness to advance joint projects, labor exchanges, and continued cooperation within the framework of bilateral agreements.
