Afghan Freedom Front Claims Attack on Taliban Forces in Kabul
The Afghan Freedom Front has claimed that a targeted attack on Taliban administration forces in Kabul resulted in three deaths and one injury. According to the Front, the attack took place last night in the housing preparation area near Ariana Tankoil.
Information released by the Freedom Front indicates that the target of the attack was a Taliban military vehicle, a Ranger-type armored personnel carrier. To support their claim, the Front also released video footage of the attack.
The Freedom Front has previously claimed responsibility for similar attacks in various provinces including Kunduz, Faryab, and Badakhshan, reporting casualties among Taliban forces; however, these claims have generally not been independently verified by separate sources.
Meanwhile, in a recent report, the United Nations Security Council highlighted the increased activity of armed opposition fronts against the Taliban and noted attacks across several provinces in Afghanistan. This development is seen as an indication of ongoing insecurity and the Taliban administration’s failure to establish nationwide stability.
