Taliban Deputy Interior Minister Visits Nangarhar to Address Security and Drug Issues

Mullah Muhammad Ibrahim Sadr, the senior deputy for security affairs at the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, traveled to Nangarhar province as part of his official visits. During his visit, he met with local officials, religious scholars, and several residents of the province.

According to provided information, the meeting took place at the Shah Jalala Palace in Jalalabad. The discussions focused on preventing the cultivation, use, and trafficking of narcotics, avoiding ethnic, linguistic, and sectarian prejudices, and improving the behavior of officials toward the public.

The deputy interior minister urged local authorities to exercise greater care and responsibility when dealing with the people and to earnestly address the residents’ problems.

Although the Taliban administration consistently emphasizes attention to the people’s demands, residents of various provinces have repeatedly complained about the weak accountability of local institutions and the neglect of their daily issues. This raises serious questions about the practical implementation of such commitments.
