India Sends Medicines and Medical Supplies to Kabul Government Hospital

India said on Thursday it had delivered a shipment of medicines and medical consumables to a government hospital in Kabul to support Afghanistan’s health sector.
Randhir Jaiswal, spokesman for India’s Ministry of External Affairs, wrote on X that the aid was provided as part of India’s ongoing health cooperation with the people of Afghanistan.
The statement released by Indian officials did not provide further details on the exact type of medicines, the quantity of supplies or the name of the hospital.
In recent years, India has also cooperated with Afghanistan in the fields of health, education and humanitarian assistance. Kabul, as the country’s capital, is home to several large government hospitals that serve patients from different provinces.
