Afghanistan and Malaysia Hold Bilateral Talks on Current Situation

In a bilateral meeting between the Strategic Studies Center of the Taliban’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Malaysia’s Institute of Islamic Advanced Studies, the current situation in Afghanistan and regional and global developments were discussed.
The Afghan Embassy in Malaysia announced on the social media platform X that Abd al-Haqq Qanat, acting head of the Strategic Studies Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Naqibullah Ahmadi, acting head of the Taliban administration’s embassy in Malaysia, and Dr. Mazlee Malik, head of Malaysia’s Institute of Islamic Advanced Studies, attended the talks.
Also present were Dato Ahmad Azam, Malaysia’s Special Envoy for Afghanistan, several Malaysian parliament members, government officials, representatives of political parties, academics, and media representatives.
According to published information, the participants exchanged views on Afghanistan’s political, economic, and security situation, regional and international changes, and the foreign policy approach of the Taliban administration. They emphasized the importance of mutual understanding, scientific and intellectual cooperation, and expanding long-term relations.
