Lebanese Analyst Warns of U.S. Plan to Destabilize Lebanon

A Lebanese political analyst has warned that the United States is pushing a dangerous plan aimed at escalating instability and insecurity within Lebanon. According to the analyst, the strategy exploits the country’s fragile economic and political situation and targets its governing institutions.
In an interview with regional media outlets, Nidal Issa emphasized that recent U.S. actions are intended to weaken Lebanon’s official structures and fuel internal divisions—a path that could pave the way for broader unrest across various regions of the country.
The analyst believes that leveraging economic pressures and political deadlock is part of a wider scheme to create deeper fractures within Lebanese society and diminish the government’s ability to manage crises.
Issa stated that countering this situation requires a unified national stance, warning that without domestic cohesion, the risk of Lebanon being dragged into more severe crises increases. He also claimed that a joint U.S.-Saudi plan is underway to disarm the resistance, with the goal of steering Lebanon toward normalizing relations with the Israeli regime—a move that he says could have serious political and security implications for the country’s future.
