Iranian President Pezeshkian Calls for Stronger Ties with Afghanistan

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian has emphasized his country’s commitment to strengthening relations with Afghanistan, particularly in shared border regions.

During a visit to South Khorasan Province, which borders Afghanistan, Pezeshkian highlighted the importance of bilateral cooperation in border areas, according to Iranian media.

He instructed the governor of South Khorasan to take practical and executive steps to improve and expand relations with Afghanistan. The directive focuses on enhanced management of cross-border interactions and strengthening local ties.
