Drug Processing Facility Dismantled in Afghanistan’s Nimruz Province

Local officials under Taliban administration in Nimruz province reported the discovery and complete destruction of a drug production and processing facility manufacturing a substance known as “Best” in Delaram district.

According to these officials, the facility was identified during an operation by local forces and, following necessary inspections, its equipment and materials were destroyed.

One individual has been arrested in connection with the case, and investigations are ongoing.

The continued discovery of such drug production sites in various parts of the country raises questions about the effectiveness of the Taliban administration’s efforts to curb drug production and trafficking in remote areas.
