UNFPA Distributes Maternal and Newborn Care Kits in Afghanistan

The United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Afghanistan has announced the distribution of ‘maternal and newborn care kits’ to provide essential postnatal care services for mothers and their babies.
According to UNFPA, these kits address some of the immediate needs of mothers following childbirth and contribute to their comfort and recovery. This initiative is especially significant in areas of the country where access to healthcare services remains limited.
The UN-affiliated agency emphasized that such support is crucial for families lacking adequate healthcare facilities and services, and highlighted the importance of continuing these efforts to safeguard the health of mothers and newborns across Afghanistan.
