Russian Security Forces Foil Planned Terror Attack in Southern City

Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) has announced that a planned terrorist attack in the southern city of Volgodonsk, located in the Rostov region, was foiled before execution.

According to published information, Russian security forces arrested a female student, identified as a would-be suicide bomber, approximately half an hour before she was set to deliver a backpack containing explosives to an official. The incident occurred inside a municipal government building.

The FSB stated that the explosives were intended to detonate in an area where a large public gathering was expected, a situation that could have resulted in significant casualties.

The Russian security agency claimed the attack had been planned by Ukraine. So far, no further details have been disclosed about the suspect’s full identity, and there has been no official response from Ukrainian authorities.
