Afghanistan and Kazakhstan Discuss Expanding Banking and Economic Ties

A delegation from Kazakhstan, led by the Deputy Minister of Finance, met with Sediqullah Khalid, the First Deputy Governor of Da Afghanistan Bank, in Kabul to discuss ways to strengthen banking and economic cooperation.
According to a statement from Da Afghanistan Bank, Khalid said the institution aims to establish a structured and effective banking framework with Kazakhstan to facilitate financial exchanges between the two nations.
He emphasized that enhancing banking collaboration can pave the way for trade facilitation, investment, and broader economic engagement, while also contributing to regional financial stability—an important goal for both Afghanistan and Central Asian countries.
The Kazakh delegation also underlined the importance of expanding banking and economic cooperation and expressed readiness to deepen joint efforts. At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to form technical committees to conduct detailed discussions and implement agreements in a practical manner.
