Afghan Envoy Meets New Russian Ambassador in Indonesia to Discuss Bilateral Ties

Maulvi Saadullah Baloch, the acting head of Afghanistan’s embassy in Indonesia, has met with Sergei Gennadievich Tulchanov, Russia’s new ambassador to the country.

According to a statement from the Afghan embassy, the two sides emphasized the strengthening of bilateral relations and the continuation of diplomatic engagement. They also discussed ways to expand mutual cooperation.

The talks reportedly focused on political, economic, and cultural collaboration, with both parties sharing their views on areas of mutual interest.

This meeting comes amid ongoing ambiguity about the diplomatic and legal status of Afghan missions abroad, which continue to operate under the administration of Taliban-appointed envoys.
