Taliban Justice Ministry Says 761,000 Acres of Land Identified Nationwide

The Taliban-led Ministry of Justice says that the Commission for the Prevention of Land Grabbing and the Recovery of Seized Lands has identified nearly 761,000 acres of land across various regions of the country since the start of the current Islamic calendar year.
According to the ministry, the identified lands are located in Kabul and 33 other provinces and were confirmed after being reviewed in accordance with the decisions made by the leadership of the Commission for the Prevention of Land Grabbing. Ministry officials stated that the commission’s rulings have been officially communicated to the individuals currently in possession of these lands.
The ministry added that during this process, cases related to approximately 29,000 acres of land have been submitted—according to the Law on the Prevention of Land Grabbing and the Recovery of Seized Lands—for religious adjudication to special courts dedicated to handling land seizure cases in the Islamic Emirate. These cases are currently under review.
Furthermore, the ministry stated that surveying teams have identified more than 4.167 million acres of public pasture land in the center and ten districts of Badghis province. These areas have been registered in the national land bank.
