Taliban Representative Meets Benin Ambassador in Doha to Discuss Bilateral Ties
The Taliban’s representative office in Qatar has announced that Mohammad Suhail Shaheen met in Doha with Bida Nouhoum Youssouf AbdoulRahmane, the Ambassador of the Republic of Benin to Afghanistan.
According to a statement released by the Taliban office, the main focus of the meeting was to review bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Benin—ties that in recent years have remained limited and primarily at the level of diplomatic contact.
During the discussion, both sides also exchanged views on the current political situation in Benin and addressed economic and trade topics of mutual interest.
The Taliban’s embassy in Qatar added that other issues related to bilateral cooperation were also discussed, although no further details were provided.
