Israeli Forces Intensify Strikes on Gaza Amid Heavy Rain and Broaden West Bank Raids

Amid heavy rain and severe storms that worsened the humanitarian crisis in Gaza—particularly for displaced residents living in tents—Israeli air and ground assaults on the territory have continued without pause.
According to reports, Israeli army armored vehicles opened fire in the eastern al-Zaytoun neighborhood in southeastern Gaza City. Simultaneously, artillery shelling was reported in the southwestern outskirts of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, while Israeli fighter jets targeted several areas in eastern Gaza City.
The military campaign has also spread intensively to the West Bank. In the early hours of the day, dozens of Israeli military units simultaneously raided multiple towns and villages, including areas in Hebron, Ramallah, Tulkarem, Jenin, Nablus, Bethlehem, and Jericho.
Local sources reported that during these raids, Israeli forces entered civilian homes, conducted searches, and instilled fear and pressure—particularly on women and children. In certain areas, including the town of Attil in northern Tulkarem, live ammunition and flares were reportedly used.
The Palestinian Red Crescent stated that five members of a Palestinian family—including a father, mother, and three young daughters—were injured and transferred to hospital after an assault by Israeli settlers in the al-Auja area near Jericho.
Additional reports indicated the arrest of several Palestinian civilians, including a girl in Asira al-Shamaliya and two young men in Beitunia and Attil. These developments come amid a significant rise in violence by Israeli forces and settlers in the West Bank over recent months, heightening concerns over ongoing human rights violations against civilians.
