Senior Taliban Interior Ministry Official Visits Samangan Province

Mullah Mohammad Ibrahim Sadr, the Senior Deputy Minister of Security at the Taliban’s Ministry of Interior, visited Samangan province and held talks with local officials.

According to Sadr, the current governing structure has been formed with the cooperation of the people, and officials are obliged to keep the doors of public service open to residents and listen closely to their concerns. He stressed that addressing citizens’ demands must be a priority for local government agencies.

The senior security official also emphasized the need for coordination among government departments and institutions. He urged officials to hold regular consultations with religious scholars and tribal elders in order to resolve social and security issues.

Meanwhile, Damla Mohammad Shoaib Resalat, the governor of Samangan, claimed that due to the joint efforts of local officials and security forces, overall security in the province has been established. However, these remarks come amid a lack of independently verifiable reports on the actual state of security and residents’ satisfaction in the region.
