Two Killed, One Injured in Traffic Accident in Parwan Province

Two people were killed and another injured in a traffic accident in the Dehn-e Zawab area of Ghorband district in Afghanistan’s Parwan province. The Taliban’s provincial police command in Parwan confirmed the incident occurred around 10 a.m. on Friday, December 11.
According to Taliban officials, the crash happened when two Toyota Corolla vehicles collided while attempting to overtake each other during a wedding procession. Both drivers have been arrested by the Taliban traffic authorities and are facing legal proceedings.
Traffic accidents have claimed dozens of lives across Afghanistan in recent months. Authorities cite driver negligence, lack of traffic signs, and poor road conditions as the main causes of these incidents.
