Drone Strike Targets Vehicle of Julani-Affiliated Security Forces in Southern Syria
Media sources in Syria report that an unidentified drone has targeted a vehicle belonging to security forces affiliated with the Julani group in the town of al-Mazraa, located in the southern Syrian province of al-Suwayda. According to Syria’s Al-Ikhbariya TV, the strike resulted in partial damage to the vehicle, but no precise information on potential casualties has yet been released.
A security source linked to the Julani administration claimed that the incident constitutes a violation of the ceasefire agreement in the al-Suwayda region. The source said the Julani administration has called on the international community to take a clear stance against such attacks.
The Syrian government also stated that any violation of the ceasefire will be met with a firm response. Al-Suwayda, one of Syria’s southern provinces, has in recent years witnessed activity by various armed groups and sporadic clashes between government forces and opposition factions.
