Large Ammunition Cache Discovered in Laghman Province

Laghman provincial police have announced that security forces have discovered and seized a large cache of ammunition during a search operation in the Saigul Valley of Alishing district. According to official sources, the hidden stockpile included various light and heavy weapons and ammunition, including 51 mortar shells, two 82mm mortar rounds, 200 DShK (heavy machine gun) rounds, 100 PK (light machine gun) rounds, one anti-personnel mine, 28 mortar warheads, and four 82mm warheads.

Local officials said that no arrests have been made in connection with the incident so far, and further investigations are being carried out by police. The Taliban administration, which currently controls security institutions, has issued similar reports in the past about the discovery of concealed weapons and ammunition. However, critics argue that a lack of transparency regarding the origins of such weaponry could pose challenges to the security of various regions.
