Ghazni Residents Donate 5 Million Afghanis to Kunar Earthquake Victims

The Directorate of Information and Culture in Ghazni province has announced that government employees and several local residents have collectively raised five million Afghanis to aid victims of the recent earthquake in Kunar province. The cash donation was delivered by Mullah Hamidullah, head of the Ghazni Directorate of Information and Culture, to the local disaster response commission during his visit to Kunar.

According to local officials, the assistance is part of a broader community effort to support families severely affected by the recent earthquake in Kunar. They emphasized that solidarity and cooperation between provinces play a vital role in alleviating the suffering of people following natural disasters.

In recent days, Kunar province was struck by an earthquake that caused fatalities and financial losses in several of its districts. In the absence of a swift and comprehensive crisis response from Taliban authorities, such grassroots initiatives remain among the few sources of support for those impacted by the disaster.
