Explosion Destroys School in North Waziristan, Halts Education for Hundreds of Children

Late last night, unidentified armed individuals planted explosives at the Ayazkot Government Primary School in Khushhali village, Mir Ali district of North Waziristan, causing a powerful explosion. The blast completely destroyed the school building, which had previously been attended by more than 600 students.

Local authorities have not reported any casualties so far, but the destruction of the educational facility has disrupted the learning process for dozens of children in the area. Mir Ali district, situated in the volatile North Waziristan region, has witnessed similar attacks in the past.

Analysts say that attacks on educational institutions not only jeopardize the future of the children but also heighten fear and insecurity among local families. Experts believe that such incidents highlight ongoing security challenges in Pakistan’s tribal regions, where armed groups continue to operate in certain areas.
