Two Killed, Two Injured in Traffic Accident on Kabul–Kandahar Highway

The police command of Maidan Wardak province has reported a fatal traffic accident that occurred earlier this morning (Wednesday, December 9) on the Kabul–Kandahar highway, in the Badam area of Nirkh district. According to authorities, the collision involved a passenger vehicle and a cargo truck, resulting in two fatalities and two injuries.
The victims included one man and one woman, while another woman and a young man sustained injuries. The injured were transported to a hospital for treatment.
The Kabul–Kandahar highway is one of the busiest roads in the country and has frequently seen traffic accidents, often attributed to driver negligence and poor road conditions. Local residents have called on the Taliban administration to implement concrete measures to improve road safety and enforce driver oversight.
