Taliban Launches Administrative Reforms to Combat Corruption

Taliban officials have announced a new initiative aimed at reducing administrative corruption within government institutions. According to Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesperson for the Taliban administration, work is underway on a plan to simplify bureaucratic procedures, and the process is progressing rapidly.

Fitrat emphasized that the goal of this program is to limit opportunities for administrative corruption, though he acknowledged that challenges may arise. He added that the Taliban administration is striving to implement anti-corruption measures as effectively as possible.

In recent years, mismanagement and the complexity of administrative processes in Afghanistan have been among the primary drivers of corruption. Critics are now calling for full transparency and continued oversight of such initiatives by the Taliban, stressing that a genuine fight against corruption requires accountability and concrete commitment.
