Israeli Settlers Storm Al-Aqsa Mosque and Palestinian Homes in Jerusalem

Palestinian sources have reported that on Tuesday morning, dozens of Israeli settlers, backed by occupation forces, stormed the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, violating the sanctity of the holy site. According to the governorate of occupied Jerusalem, at least 182 settlers entered the mosque compound during this action.

The Wadi Hilweh Information Center, in its latest monthly report, stated that more than 4,000 settlers, with support from Israeli security forces, entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in an organized manner throughout November and publicly performed Jewish religious rituals. The center said such repeated actions, directly supported by official Israeli institutions, indicate an effort to alter the historical and religious status of Al-Aqsa—a move that has sparked widespread concern among Palestinians and organizations dedicated to the protection of Islamic and cultural heritage.

In addition to these incursions, there has been an escalating wave of forced evictions of Palestinian families in occupied Jerusalem. Two families, Shweiki and Odeh, residing in the Batn Al-Hawa area of Silwan, have recently been served evacuation orders. These rulings were issued in favor of the extremist settler organization Ateret Cohanim. Simultaneously, occupation forces raided the home of the Rajabi family in the same neighborhood and issued a final eviction notice.

The property in question includes three residential units housing around 50 people, including children and the elderly. With these eviction orders set to be enforced, the families face imminent displacement—a scenario that, according to human rights organizations, exemplifies the systematic expulsion of native residents from Jerusalem.
