Two Anti-Taliban Attacks Reported in Balkh and Kunduz Provinces

Sources affiliated with the National Resistance Front have reported that on Friday, November 27, a targeted attack struck the police chief’s vehicle in Khulm district of Balkh province. The operation, carried out in the Tapa-e-Sheikhi area, resulted in the deaths of several of the Taliban commander’s bodyguards and injuries to the commander himself. The National Resistance Front stated that no harm came to its fighters or to local residents during the attack.
In a statement, the group said it would continue operations in various parts of the country to free Afghanistan from what it referred to as the “terrorist group Taliban.” This declaration reflects the ongoing armed struggle by anti-Taliban groups that challenge the legitimacy of the current administration.
Following that incident, on the evening of Saturday, November 28, the Afghanistan Freedom Front announced another attack in the city of Kunduz. According to the group, its fighters targeted a Taliban checkpoint on Azadi Road, resulting in the deaths of two Taliban members and injuries to another. The Freedom Front also emphasized that none of its members were harmed during the operation.
The Taliban administration has yet to issue an official response to the two attacks carried out by resistance groups. The silence from Taliban officials raises further questions about the country’s security situation and the extent of the group’s control over various areas.
