Gaza Health Ministry: Israeli Attacks Have Killed Over 70,000 Since October 2023

The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza has announced that at least 70,360 residents have been killed since the Israeli military launched its offensive on the enclave in October 2023. The ministry added that during the same period, more than 171,000 people have been injured.
In its latest statement, the ministry said that in the past 24 hours alone, six more bodies had been transported to hospitals and 17 individuals were injured. Thousands are reportedly still trapped under the rubble, with rescue efforts ongoing.
The Gaza Health Ministry also reported that since the implementation of a limited ceasefire on October 11, 2025, at least 373 people have been killed and 970 others wounded. During this period, the bodies of 624 individuals have been recovered from the debris.
The ongoing war in Gaza, which began with a large-scale Israeli military assault, is described as one of the deadliest humanitarian crises in recent decades. International observers have warned that the continuation of this situation will deepen the humanitarian disaster in the region. The Taliban administration has yet to issue an official response to this crisis.
