Boeing 777 Makes Emergency Landing in Moscow After Engine Fire

A Boeing 777 passenger plane operating as flight WZ-3097 with 425 people on board was forced to make an emergency landing at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport last night due to an engine fire en route from Moscow to Phuket, Thailand.
According to the Red Wings airline, the flight crew detected abnormal engine performance during the flight and made the immediate decision to return the aircraft to its departure airport. The timely response is believed to have averted a potential disaster.
Russian officials reported that flames appeared shortly after take-off, approximately four minutes after the aircraft left the runway. Emergency teams were able to contain the fire, and all 412 passengers and 13 crew members were safely evacuated from the plane.
The incident has raised concerns about airline safety in the region. While Russian authorities have praised the effective handling of the situation, independent sources have suggested the possibility of a technical malfunction. The need for a thorough investigation by independent international bodies has become increasingly apparent.
