Russia Launches Major Strikes on Ukraine Targeting Military Airports and Energy Sites

Russia’s Ministry of Defense has announced that it carried out a large-scale military operation, launching combined attacks on various locations across Ukraine. The targets included military airports, energy facilities, and centers connected to drone operations.

In a statement, Russia said its forces advanced along multiple fronts as part of the operation, claiming that a number of Ukrainian troops were targeted. According to the ministry, around 210 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or wounded in the attacks.

The Russian Black Sea Fleet reportedly destroyed four Ukrainian naval drones in the northwestern part of the sea. Additionally, forces under a regional command known as ‘South’ claimed to have targeted another 150 Ukrainian soldiers during ground advances.

The Ministry of Defense also reported shooting down 195 Ukrainian drones, highlighting the intensity of the fighting and the ongoing reliance on drone technology in the Russia-Ukraine war.

Nearly three years since Russia launched its military invasion of Ukraine, the conflict continues across multiple regions of the country. The sustained use of heavy weaponry has placed serious strain on civilian infrastructure. The Taliban administration’s silence regarding these attacks has once again raised questions about its foreign policy stance and commitment to human rights.
