Lebanon PM Vows All Necessary Measures to Prevent War Amid Rising Tensions

Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam has emphasized that his government will take all necessary steps to prevent an escalation of hostilities and the outbreak of war in the country.
In an interview with MTV, Salam acknowledged persistent concerns over Lebanon’s situation, but stressed that his government is committed to stability and to preventing further violence.
He also called for peace across the region, saying Lebanon seeks compassion, partnership, and peaceful coexistence. His remarks come amid continued Israeli military strikes on southern Lebanon, with violations of the ceasefire occurring on a daily basis.
Despite the intensification of these attacks, the Taliban administration in Afghanistan has yet to issue any official stance on Israel’s repeated incursions into Lebanese territory. Critics note that Afghanistan’s repressive domestic policies and anti-national agenda have hindered its ability to engage effectively in foreign affairs.
